Standard Clean Overview
Our Standard Clean is designed to keep your home feeling refreshed, tidy, and well-cared for. We follow a consistent top-to-bottom, left-to-right system to ensure nothing is missed and every space receives the same high level of attention.
General Cleaning Throughout the Home
Full tidy of each room
Dusting of surfaces, décor, picture frames, mirrors, shelves, railings, and window sills
Wiping light switches, door handles, doors, and accessible smudges
Vacuuming all floors and carpets
Washing hard floors
Emptying garbage and recycling
Lifting and wiping underneath items when dusting
Cleaning stairs and railings
Monthly rotation of baseboards, door frames, blinds, and light fixtures
Bedrooms
Bed made (or linens changed if left out)
Tidying surfaces and organizing where needed
Dusting all surfaces, décor, and mirrors
Wiping light switches, window sills, and door handles
Vacuuming floors
Laundry started if requested (sheets/towels)
Living Room, Family Room, Office & Hallways
Tidying and straightening surfaces
Dusting all furniture, décor, frames, and mirrors
Wiping switches, handles, and window sills
Cleaning railings and dusting stairs where the vacuum can’t reach
Vacuuming floors
Bathrooms
A full top-to-bottom clean of each bathroom, including:
Tidying counters and surfaces
Cleaning mirrors, lights, vanity, and cabinet fronts
Wiping tiles and walls around sinks, showers, and tubs
Cleaning inside and outside of shower/tub
Full toilet clean (including base + floor around toilet)
Polishing chrome
Folding towels
Vacuuming and washing floors
Kitchen
A thorough clean of all kitchen surfaces:
Tidy and wash dishes (if needed)
Deep clean of sink with Scour Off paste
Wiping all surfaces left-to-right, top-to-bottom
Cleaning cabinet fronts, handles, and backsplashes
Cleaning appliances (fridge doors and handles, stove, dishwasher, microwave inside & out)
Cleaning counters and lifting items to wipe underneath
Vacuuming and washing floors
Changing kitchen towels if dirty
Taking out garbage & recycling
Extra time: tidying one drawer

All standard checklist items are completed at each visit unless a client requests a customized service. This ensures consistency and a home that feels refreshed and cared for every time.
Cleaning Time & Minimum Hours
At Jenn & Co Housekeeping, we have a 3-hour minimum for all standard cleans.
The estimated amount of time needed for your home is based on its square footage and layout. You can find our estimated cleaning times on our Inquiry Form.
If you have a budget for only 3 hours, we recommend creating a priority list.
This helps us focus on the areas that matter most to you, ensuring you receive the best value within your preferred time frame.

At Jenn & Co Housekeeping, we take pride in providing consistent, detail-focused, compassionate cleaning. Our team works with care and intention — but we’re also human, and once in a while something may get missed.
If anything doesn’t feel quite right after your clean, please contact Jenn within 24–48 hours so we can address it promptly. This allows us to follow up while the details are still fresh and ensures we can support you and our team effectively.

Every Home Is Different
Some areas (like stubborn buildup, soap scum, hard water, or long-term staining) may require additional time or a deeper clean than what’s included in a standard visit. We’re always happy to discuss options if something needs extra attention.
Time-Capped Cleans & Priority Lists
If your visit was based on our 3-hour minimum or a set budget, we’ll complete your priority list first. Only listed items are guaranteed within the allotted time.
Normal Wear & Tear
Age-related wear — such as discoloured grout, worn caulking, scratched appliances, or permanently stained surfaces — may not come fully clean even with professional products. We always work safely and do our best within the limits of the material.
